ScrumMaster training provides an applied understanding of the Scrum process and helps participants begin to develop the tools, insights, and skills required to apply Scrum on their projects and across their organizations.

Additional Information :
The course will run from 9am-5pm each day. A continental breakfast, breaks and lunch will be provided.

Following the course, each participant is enrolled as a Certified ScrumMaster, which includes a one-year membership in the Scrum Alliance, where additional ScrumMaster-only material and information are available.

Who Should Attend

This course has been taken by everyone connected to a Scrum Team.  The CEO of a company, the COO, the CFO, the ScrumMaster, the Product Owner, Team members, managers, stakeholders.  Everyone.  With profit.

It is common for whole Teams (and related stakeholders) to take the course all at one time. This is very valuable.

As you can tell by the title of the course, it was originally designed to teach people to become ScrumMasters.  Sometimes one person can take the course, learn about Scrum, already have the basic skills of a ScrumMaster, and go back and implement Scrum quickly with success.

You will get useful knowledge about how and why Scrum works.

The course includes many interactive exercises and small-group discussions. These will prepare you to plan your first sprint immediately after this class.

PMPs: You can receive 14 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for this course.

Course Material

Participants will receive course materials (not books) at the course. The CSM course was formulated to train and certify ScrumMasters and is used worldwide for ScrumMaster training. In addition, participants should obtain (at their own expense) Agile Project Management with Scrum, by Ken Schwaber, which is required reading for the course. You may also wish to obtain the primary Scrum book, Agile Software Development with SCRUM by Schwaber and Beedle, on which the course is based.

Of course, there will be updated material and training exercises in the course which you cannot get from books. The entire syllabus will be made available upon registering for the course so you can look it over and bring it with you to the sessions.

Registration and Fees

The course fee is CAD 1,800 for the full 4 days or CAD 1200 for the first 2 days.  There is also a 10% discount for 3 or more people.

You may use USD check, cash, wire transfer, etc. PayPal and Google Checkout are provided for your convenience, but paying via CC can be troublesome.

What do you get?  The course itself, and a copy of the course deck.  Meals & beverages (continental breakfast, 2 breaks each day and lunch). Certification (assuming you complete the course and the CSM Exam).  And one year's membership in Scrum Alliance (worth US$50).

We can also invoice you (in CAD or USD).

Once you pay, you become registered. If your firm needs an invoice, we can generate those as well. You are not fully registered until we receive payment. Contact us if you have a group.

Please contact Joe Little for details or with questions.
